Debaser by Pixies
I'll just own up right away… since I didn't have an older brother there are some bands and music that I totally missed out on for reasons that I can only blame on the fact that I don't or didn't have an older brother. Both Pavement and the Pixies play a role in this tragedy. How in the world did it take me until I was in college to hear either of these bands? HOW?!?! The Pixies are only like the most important band of the last twenty years... no Pixies, no Nirvana or grunge, no grunge and we're listening to Michael Jackson and hair bands still. And I dare anyone to listen to Debaser and not like it. Oh yeah, Kim Deal... I love you.

What's Up With This?
A daily musical journey of 365 songs that I like and probably have some sort of meaning to me... This might go on forever.
The Deal
Here's How To Play: Make a list of 365 songs. The first ones will come easy. The rest will make you think, maybe even listen to some tunes you have not heard in years. This may be a good or bad thing. But leave room on your list. You may meet some new songs along the way. See BO just another reason I should have never moved away. I feel guilty as sin to read this post. True you had no older brother but your aunt should have been there for you. Sorry Dude.
P.S. I think thePixies were listening to a bit of Paul McCartney when they wrote this tune. The feeling of "Jet" wiggles its way into it (and I mean this in the best possible way)
Hey if you want to check out a dude that really knows his musicial stuff check out "Rave on Dave" (link on my blog) He turned me on to the Pixies before they became all that.

I'd heard of the Pixies - but this was the first time I've heard them. I'll have to check them out some more.
